At last I have been able to sit down and start the long awaited 'Newsletter' for Isiaiah 54.
We have had a Blessed year, being privileged enough to be supported wonderfully by the community and some business entities.
We have had the privilege of being able to assist many new Moms in our community and surrounds, and pray that we will be able to help many more in the future.
We have also had the privilege of being able with the help of the community, to bless many poorer communities with, clothing, household items, fridge, chairs, and toys, etc. What a privilege it has been to serve the greater community of the
We have joined the "Be-More" Volunteer Programme and our first wonderful experience of a Volunteer was Lizzy, who came from
Our first official Volunteers arrived on the 25th October 2007, Inge & Julia had been helping us on Fridays, while working at another project, and decided that they wanted to work with us, and so started their month with us. A few days later Rose, arrived to join us.
I can only describe their stay with us as a wonderful experience. Their project while with us was to, 'do up the Boys and Girls Bedrooms’. Well did they take the task at hand with both hands and ended up doing a wonderful job. The boys have Spiderman, and the girls, flower's and butterfly's. What a difference a bit of colour does.
The other project they took on was to paint my Disney family on the wall out the front of the house.
Well they took this on with an amazing artistic flair, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore, Rabbit and of course Roo, thus satisfying my "obsession" so they call it.
Inge and Julia leave us on Sunday and we wish them all the best, we have grown to love them very much. Rose is spending an extra week with us then moves on to Mother of Peace.
The children are doing very well, except for Donovan who had a seizure and landed up in hospital, but is doing fine now. We had a new arrival, on my birthday, Little Isiah, only 7 weeks old, is doing well, but very spoiled, as he is so cute. A charmer at his age.
Well, I think that is all for our very first news letter. Hopefully they will happen every month.
God Bless you all.
